Digital Extremes offshoot Brainbox Games has just announced the first details of Land of the Dead: Road to Fiddler's Green, a zombie-based first-person shooter for PC and Xbox. We're fans of the undead as much as anyone and, given that this is based on George A Romero's Land of the Dead movie (which reaches the UK next month), the combined level of gore and cadavers promises to be suitably high. Xbox - The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning - Two more on Xbox Originals

Two more ahem, "golden oldies" have appeared on Xbox Live's Xbox Originals service this morning, the first of which is Vivendi's Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning.

As you can probably guess from the title, New Beginning was the first in the Legend trilogy of Spyro games, adding more action-based platforming gameplay and an even more annoying voice over for the purple dragon.

Spyro, the much-travelled purple dragon, will be returning this autumn for all present generation consoles, GBA and DS in Vivendi's The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning.
