With it being half-term, software sales are up this week and the number one wunderkind Harry Potter more than consolidated his position with an increase in sales for Prisoner of Azkaban of 81% over last week.

The charts are incredibly static, though, despite the retail activity but two titles stand out from among the doddering crowd. First, Need for Speed Underground re-entered the chart last week at number seven and is now cruising in third place.

The other success story is McAfee's latest internet security package. It enters the top 20 for the first time at nine (up from 34), just three short of Norton's rival internet security software. But judging by Norton's seemingly permanent residence in the top 10, that's not likely to change.
