A selection of new shots from the upcoming Half-Life 2 on Xbox have recently been released and, while obviously not comparable to the graphical brilliance of the PC version, show that this console iteration is looking pretty impressive.

Console gamers who haven't had the good fortune of playing Half-Life 2 - in which spectacle-wearing hero Gordon Freeman must save the world from alien domination - should be licking their lips at the prospect of finally getting to experience what is widely regarded as one of the most incredible games ever to be coded into existence.

Half-Life 2 will be released for Xbox in November
