With the Xbox version of Half-Life 2 now expected to reach the UK in September, we've just uncovered the first ever screens of the game in action - albeit in the form of photos taken of a TV running the game.

The shots are currently being hosted over at jeux-france.com and you can view them by . We'd recommend you get over there sharpish as we'd imagine that the combined might of Vivendi and Valve will ensure that the screens will be removed before the day's out.

The game itself is said to be identical to the original PC version in terms of content, although some reports are suggesting that there will be noticeable differences in the quality of the texture detail and auto-aiming.

Half-Life 2 is expected to be released for Xbox in September
