Half-Life 2 Hints
Gravity Gun to the Rescue
When you're in Ravonholm and you run out of ammo, you already know to use your crowbar on the guys. But it's harder to kill the litle spider guys, so use the Gravity Gun's push mode and blow them away. It takes a few hits but it works.

Your Own Army
When you get the squishy ant lion gland, you have your own personal army of them for several levels. They contnuosly keep coming as they die, and you can't run out of the glands, so use them well, don't worry about them. This is especially useful on the beach to distract the heavy machine guns while you make a run. In later levels, you actually get your own soldiers to order around. By looking at a location and pressing black, they will move to that location, or touble tap to have them follow you. They are expendable, you are not, so charge them in, and use yourself to flank the distracted enemy.

Half-Life 2 Easter Eggs
"Blast From The Past"
Entry Location:
Black Mesa East, the Scrapyard
During the "Black Mesa East" chapter once you follow Alyx to the scrapyard stack up some crates to get up to the ledge (the one where Alyx tells you to pull the barrels off). Once up there you will find an ammo crate and a rusty yellow H.E.V wall panel. These are found in the first Half Life and they used to recharge your suit (this one doesn't!)

G-man Sighting

Water Hazard
At the very beginning of "Water Hazard," as soon as you can see a big red barn, zoom in. You should see a man in a gray suit and suitcase (G-man) He'll then walk into the barn but once you get there he isn't there

Vogon Easter Egg
In the Canals level, right before your battle with the hunter chopper there should be 3 sewege pipe openings. Hop into the one all the way on the left and follow it until you eventually find a vogon sitting around a fire melting marsh-mellows. When he sees you he'll get up and start spewing around 60 something lines of anticombine propaganda. After he's done he'll sit back down and offer you a marsh-mellow. Throwing it at him is very satisfying in a way.
