In what has to be a major blow to the team behind the Fable series, original creators Simon Carter and his brother Dene (you know, the Normanomicon pair) have left Lionhead Studios to pursue new opportunities.
Peter Molyneux will soon have another trophy to hang in his study, studio, sanctuary achievement room or wherever elseguys like Peter Molyneux display notable industry awards. As if his lifetime achievement nod at next week's Game Developers Conference wasn't enough of an ego-boost, the Lionhead Studios head has also been pegged to receive the British Academy of Film and Television Arts' (BAFTA) 2011 Academy Fellowship title during the association's GAME British Academy Video Game Awards in March.

Bit-tramp: We at Bit-tramp were lucky enough to sit in a developer session for a talk about the Fable series by Peter Molyneux, we werent sure if this would be made publicly available through other channels afterwards, but just in case we recorded the entire talk. Games industry veteran Paul Conry - who is 100% Denki - has joined the company as head of Denki's new test team. Paul will oversee test and quality assurance for all of Denki's current and forthcoming projects. Paul has worked with games companies including Mucky Foot, Lionhead, Broadsword Interactive and Realtime Worlds, for the last three years. His credits include titles such as Fable, Impossible Mission, Blade 2, Super Fruit Fall and APB.

Speaking to VG247, Lionhead boss Peter Molyneux has listed a string of minor imperfections that niggle him about Fable II, saying previous statements about elements not being perfect in the game are merely borne from honesty.
