To tell you the truth, we nearly made a massive slip-up while putting together this week's edition. You see we'd planned to do The Matrix. Realising that the first movie is now 10 years old had made us feel ancient (doubly so when we considered that Batman is 20), and so in order to keep it evergreen and dateless in our hearts we decided to apply that most eternally modern of musical genres, mid-'90s MIDI metal. Nothing like a bit of the old Doom music to make you feel like a kid again.
So we did. And this is what we got. We quite liked it.
But then we realised something else. If we were using Doom music, there was another, much more obvious and deserving movie to re-edit. A cinematic disappintment that could have been saved completely, had it only taken our own approach to soundtracks. We couldn't believe we'd been so stupid as to nearly skip by its limitless potential in favour of a crusty old Keanu Reeves chop-socky flick. What fools we were. So we also made this. Because we just couldn't not.
