Did anyone else ever call it "wrapping" a game when you finished it? Like: "Hey dude, I just wrapped Rescue Rangers for like, the fifth time!" Or was that just me?
Am I the only one who remembers MULTI-LOAD games were you had stop the tape when the main game had loaded but then start it again once you had completed the previous level! It was a real pain in the a$$ when you forgot to stop the tape because of getting excited about reaching a new level before realising you couldn't load the following one as you'd lost your place on the tape!!!
I remember playing Burning Rangers back in '98. Those graphics were amazing for the Saturn (which meant they were below average on anything else). Great article.
At first glance, I thought the photo of the arcade was a screen-shot from a game like Fallout 3. Man, that arcade is in really bad shape. I am so glad, that I have several arcades in my area that are still in good shape. A couple of them I used to think were a little run down, but they are palatial compared to the one in that picture.
Mode 7 is the bomb! I have the few games that use it including Super Star Wars game shown in the picture, and it still looks really cool.
