Tying in with the June release of the film, Batman Begins dips a clawed toe into the Dark Knight's even murkier past.

Focusing on the brutal butchery of Bruce Wayne's parents, the plot of the movie and the game hinges on the dramatic moment that turned the little chap from millionaire brat into millionaire bat.

As you can see from these new screens, the game also follows the film series in its ever-gloomier downward spiral, starring American Psycho's Christian Bale alongside those paragons of subtle characterisation, Michael Caine and Gary Oldman.

Batman Begins will be released in the autumn for Gamecube, PS2, Xbox, GBA and PSP
