Xbox Live getting live TV, YouTube, and voice search this fall

During today%26rsquo;s press conference, Microsoft announced a ton of new things that have little to do with games but are pretty exciting nonetheless. The new interface not only adds features that will simplify the way you use it, but way more media options. It adds searching functionality, YouTube and live TV channels, a first for an American game service.

We%26rsquo;re not sure if the YouTube service will be fully featured, and PS3 owners have had access to it for years, but MS will surely have their own approach. Meanwhile, the process of looking for content has been streamlined with a new functionality built around MS%26rsquo;s Bing service, though we only saw it used in conjunction with voice interface, though hopefully that isn%26rsquo;t exclusive. And lastly Microsoft is making deals with networks and pay stations to broadcast their content through the service. The update is planned to go live this fall.
