Rumor has it that this new ventures. will be professional wrestling once again. More specifically they could be taking on the WWE brand when THQ's license runs out at the end of 2009.

The brilliant minds over at THQ clearly don't have enough to do - either that, or they've been staying up way too late and getting far too little sleep. How else does one explain the fact that they've randomly sent over this video of a created character who looks remarkably like Donald Trump beating the hair gel out of a Vince McMahon lookalike. With a new game in the SmackDown! series piledriving its way onto shelves every November, the perpetual quandary facing the developer is what can be added each year that hasn't been done already. The answer for SmackDown! vs Raw 2007, it seems, comes in the shape of a new interface, far greater control over grappling maneuvers... and a realistic new sweat system.
And as these brand new shots demonstrate, there's now also far more scope for scrapping outside the ring, thanks to a new 'fighting
SmackDown! has gone next-gen - and we've already played it. GamesRadar has just been given early access to the Xbox 360 version of the game at E3 and, even a mere five months into development, it's already looking extremely polished.
The demo consists of a single one-on-one match, with the choice of characters from the previously-announced line-up of Triple H, Rey Mysterio, John Cena and Kurt Angle.
We chose to play as Mysterio while a THQ representive took control of Triple H. After the
Top wrestling series WWE SmackDown! vs. Raw has gone fully multiformat for the first time ever. SmackDown! vs Raw 2007 - the series' eighth incarnation - will be released in November and, as well as offering the expected PS2 and PSP games, there will also be versions available for PS3 and Xbox 360.
Until now, the well-regarded grapple-'em-ups had been exclusive to PlayStation ever since the original SmackDown! (then under the WWF brand) was released for PSone in 1999.
