Deep Shadows today announced that full-fledged support for multi-core processor systems, based on Intel Threading Building Blocks 2.0 (TBB), has been implemented in White Gold: War in Paradise and Precursors. Due to the optimization of Vital Engine for Intel multi-core technology, the FPS rate in both titles was raised by 40% and the background resource loading was made totally transparent.
A trailer for White Gold, a new game from developer Deep Shadows, is giving us our first glimpse of gameplay in what's being described as a spritual successor to the developer's Boiling Point.
Like Boiling Point, White Gold is a free-roaming shooter - with RPG elements thrown in - but this time around the action takes place in the sunny Caribbean.
You can see in the trailer that Deep Shadows' new Vital Engine 3 that's powering the game is capable of producing very pretty environments -
