Ubisoft today gave credence to the recent rumor that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles would arrive on Microsoft's Xbox Live Arcade by officially telling IGN it's all true. The classic, 1989 side-scrolling arcade game is coming, unfettered, to XBLA this month. Starring Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo in all their 2D sprite-based glory, this coin-op port will support voice-chat capabilities, offer 200 points worth of Achievements and, best of all, will only costs 400 Microsoft Points (US$5).

Xbox First is reporting that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade game will soon be available for purchase on Xbox Live Arcade. Their information comes by way of Xbox's Partnernet, an area of Xbox Live reserved exclusively for devs and select members of the press.

Today Ubisoft confirmed that the latest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles video game, based on the upcoming CGI film, is in development for Xbox 360, PS2, PSP, PC, GBA, DS, GameCube and Wii. The game is being developed by Ubisoft's Montreal and Quebec City studios, and will be available on March 13, 2007.
