As excited as we are for Soulcalibur V, what with Ezio from Assassin's Creed
and special editions coming out January 31,
our heart still belongs to the original Soulcalibur. Back when it was known as
Soul Calibur, we played it endlessly on our Dreamcast, transfixed by the dense
combat, the immense number of side modes, and the stunningly gorgeous visuals.
Now just 12 years later that technological marvel is heading to iOS devices, as
Namco revealed that soon Soulcalibur will be appearing on Apple platforms soon...

Soul Calibur Director reveals one character who won't be in the next game.
Siliconera: Soulcalibur director, Daishi Odashima, hopes to make an announcement regarding the new game in mid-May. On his Twitter feed, Odashima posted: Hopefully I will be able to announce something mid May. As always, Odashima also posted a few other bits and pieces of information about the game, this time about controls. This time we plan on reducing commands like A+K so moves are easier to pull off on pad, Odashima tweeted.
Details on the next installment of the Soul Calibur franchise are somewhat scarce since the game is still in early stages of development but all of that may change soon.

This time, the topic concerned the series main characters. Odashima then dropped a quick hint about his upcoming Soulcalibur game: All I can say for now is the main character for the new game will not be Siegfried. Keep it a secret! He later added: The main character cant be revealed yet so use your imagination for now :P All I can say is he/she will be deeply involved with the 2 swords.
After Platinum Games director Hideki Kamiya showed interest in Bayonetta appearing in the next Soulcalibur game, Tekken series director Katsuhiro Harada promoted the idea.

While he hasnt made anything official, Harada-san today has released new, bits of information about the chances of another Soul Caliber game.
