Ooh, we like that. Having just loaded up UEFA for the first time, were greeted by the stirring operatic Champions League theme so familiar for people who actually watch UK soccer, at least. God bless the FIFA series and its license-happy handlers - this is powerful stuff. Electric memories of pre-match excitement are stirred, atmosphere heavy and anticipation high. We suddenly need a bottle of

First off, don’t worry - England’s absence from this year’s European Championships is rectifiable. UEFA Euro 2008 allows you to play through qualification, or just jump straight into the finals - with the correct team line-up or your own selection. So you can take JT, Lumpard and the rest to glory after all, until their egos are so gigantic they can’t stand up under the weight.

During the demo appointments leading up to Undisputed’s release, we knew we were seeing something good. The tactical, yet undeniably brutal sport (if it’s recognized by many state athletic commissions then yes, it is a sport) is rendered the best it’s ever been in digital form.

Here’s the good news: Yukes have answered our prayers and delivered a more compelling story to accompany the career mode in UFC Undisputed 2010. Now you get to fight through amateur bouts, up through the World Fighting Association and into the big leagues of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. You’ll also find a more user-friendly feel to the grappling as opposed to the mash-the-pad-until-something-happens system from the original...

THQ's attempts to take the UFC Undisputed franchises yearly went poorly. It wasn't a full-fledged knock out by any means, but the series was left winded, stumbling around and searching for purpose. This year, Undisputed leaps back to its feet, and goes into the fight with the will to win...

UMVC3 arrives less than a year after the debut of MVC3, and brings with it a roster update of 12 new characters, 8 stages and some tweaks and adjustments to the rest of the game. The update is only available on a disc, it's an essential buy for people that take it seriously, but it's a harder sell for casual players. It’s funny to think about it, but the fighting game business model is only a step removed from sports games at this point.

Rick Ajax seems like your typical leather-wearing, croaky-voiced baddie basher. But he’s different. Like Neo in the Matrix, he knows he’s not living in the real world but inside the confines of an action comic book. And he wants out. He wants a fight with ‘The Maker’...

Nov 26, 2007 Upon first play, it's almost too easy to dismiss Undertow. This side-scrolling shooter featuring the usual, "left stick moves, right stick shoots" controls and absolutely tiny characters really doesn't make a dazzling first impression. But give the game a chance, and it may just surprise you. On the surface, Undertow is a simple shooter, but under the waves is where you'll find out how much strategy is required to keep from drowning at this excellent multiplayer game. OK, enough

We're not alone in the universe... in fact, it's getting kind of crowded here. In Universe at War: Earth Assault, the latest in a long run of PC real-time strategy titles ported to the Xbox 360, our planet is invaded by not one, not two, but three alien races intent on settling their ancient interstellar war once and for all. This diversity of factions and strategy is the game's greatest strength, but in the end, may overwhelm console players relatively new to the genre.

Playing Uno on Xbox Live Arcade will teach you a lot of things you didn't know - namely, how to play Uno. Most people remember the basics: ditch all the cards in your hand to win, but you'll need to sidestep the Skip and Reverse traps while avoiding the deadly Draw Two and Draw Four cards. But whether they know it or not, most people play with house rules, like drawing cards until you get one you can play or adding two Draw Two cards to make the next poor bastard draw four. Thankfully, the
