Part of a first-of-its-kind transmedia deal, it has been revealed today that the THQ Inc. and Syfy Original Movie Red Faction: Origins, based on the highly successful Red Faction videogame franchise, will premiere on SyfySaturday, June 4th, at 9PM (ET/PT), less than a week after the Red Faction: Armageddon videogame is released. Red Faction: Origins follows the children of rebel hero Alec Mason, set during a period between the Red Faction: Guerrilla and Red Faction: Armageddon videogames.
