The Divinity series, like its classmate at High Fantasy High School, Gothic, is a big deal in mainland Europe. Until now, neither RPG has made much of a dent in either the UK or US. The problem with Guitar Hero and Rock Band is that the games are slaves to the music. Neversoft, Harmonix and anybody else who develops a band-centric game is at the mercy of their soundtracks – and all the licensing woes these give rise to. But paranoia and assumptions only hold sway for so long. What will ultimately decide DmC's quality is nothing more or less than hands-on time with the game itself. We've now had that. A lot of it. A whole day of it in fact. And like it or not, DmC so far looks very, very good indeed. In fact in some ways it's way ahead of the original games. Allow us to explain.
Like any good criminal, we didn't see Dollar Dash coming--but this four-player frenzy is a whole lot of heist-themed fun. Check out what happens when four bumbling cartoon burglars go after the same pile of cash...
At first glance, Don King Presents: Prizefighter seems like it’ll be doomed to play second fiddle to the current champion of boxing games, Fight Night. But Prizefighter may offer boxing fans what they never got from Fight Night: Round 3, a level of realism that transcends the beads of sweat that fly from your next-gen boxer’s head.
According to Don King, “[Prizefighter] is more than a game - it is a glimpse at what
Despite only being eight years old, Doom 3's decidedly brutal and unforgiving approach may well lead some newer gamers class it as a bit creaky these days. Having just played the new Gamescom demo of the new and upgraded BFG Edition though, we’re as impressed as we ever were. Moreso, in fact.
