The idea is good - a World War II strategy game with zombies, Nazis and werewolves - but the execution is lame and the graphics make you want to cry (and not in a good way).

Yeah I liked this games idea but the game play is really bad. the turn by turn play is just poor and i really dont like that you have to level the characters in order te even compair in the game. i hope they redo this game mabye in the gears of war third person shooter or the ffty style. anything but what they have now. this game has big potential but they just had a bad staff. so please make the game better please.
Not since Return to Castle Wolfenstein has killing Nazi zombies felt so good - but after 45 minutes with this strategy RPG-cum-WWII shooter, it becomes apparent that something’s weird about Operation Darkness. About the second motionless cutscene in, it hits you: this game is a zombie made up of parts of rotting genres. While the 360 has been concentrating its success in Japan on a few key titles (Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Ninja Gaiden II), most everything else has been under the radar. However, that doesnt mean there isn't some good stuff here. With this in mind, strategy RPG Operation Darkness should grab your attention: It has an “interesting” take on World War II (including demons and magical fireballs) that might pique gamers interest due to its nutty, screw-loose scenario.
