Ninety-Nine Nights

TQ Digital has revealed the plans for their upcoming Valentines Day celebrations in the free-to-play Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG), Eudemons Online. Set to feature special new outfits and the appearance of two popular Ninety-Nine Nights Characters, the celebrations in Eudemons Online are sure to catch the attention of many gamers worldwide.

Q Entertainment has announced that it will be turning its massive hack and slash Ninety-Nine Nights franchise into a free-to-play MMO for the PC.

Representing the third entry in the Ninety Nine Nights series, the MMO will be produced in association with the Taiwanese firm, UserJoy Technology, with the game's primary artistic duties falling to Tatsuhiko Kanaoka (aka Falcoon in gaming circles), whose resume includes work on SNK Playmore's King of Fighter series...

First off, no disrespect to Tak Fuji and Naoki Maeda, you try giving a presentation for a multimillion dollar company in front of hundreds of people in your second language. Even so, it’s hard not to cringe at the awkward results of two eccentric Japanese developers trying to hype their games in broken English. The totally unresponsive audience doesn’t help things either...

Blueside, one of the studios behind the original Ninety-Nine Nights and the Kingdom Under Fire series, is making a massively multiplayer online game for the Xbox 360. A job listing reveals, Project T, which Blueside announced for PCs last summer is also in development for Xbox 360. The Korean studio is best known for the Kingdom Under Fire series and Project T has nothing to do with that. Project T is a brand new action RPG slated for 2011.

Within their release section, Famitsu suggests a November release date of Ninety Nine Nights: Rondo. Whatever this upcoming N3 game is, we sure hope to see the continuation of the series, but of course with more time put into development.

Nobody's perfect. Even the best of the best can run off the rails, and that includes many of the most reputable companies and individuals that have been involved in the games industry. They'd rather focus on their successes, of course, and most of the time they'll try to lock their mishaps away in the closet, hoping they will never be dragged out into the public eye again. But we at GamesRadar think this stuff needs to be out in the open. We're going to highlight 7 games from top-notch

Regional freesheet Metro has told GamesIndustry.biz that Microsoft's total spend for the huge advertising campaign in today's edition amounts to around GBP 500,000. Microsoft has bought up almost all the ad space in today's paper, with huge adverts for first-party titles such as Gears of War, Viva Piñata and Ninety-Nine Nights. There's a competition to win a 360 and home cinema system, plus ads promoting the Xbox Live Vision Camera, the Classic range, the forthcoming HD-DVD player, wireless accessories and Xbox Live Arcade. In addition, the paper features ads from companies such as PC World, Samsung, HMV, GAME, GameStation and BT which all prominently feature Xbox 360. Plus there are plus third-party software ads from Activision, THQ, Capcom, Sega, Rockstar, Ubisoft, EA, Atari and Konami.

In something of a surprise that's not really a surprise, the Xbox 360's price has been technically lowered in Japan. Or, at least, it will be -- effective November 2nd, 2006, a Core System Release Anniversary Pack Xbox 360 will be available for just 29,800 yen. This contains the console, all necessary cables, a wireless controller, and two games -- Ninety-Nine Nights and Project Gotham Racing 3. A 20 GB hard drive will be sold for just 9,995 yen extra.

Looking at Microsoft Japan's latest offering, first revealed on the pages of this week's Famitsu, and you might find yourself wishing that the Xbox 360 wasn't selling so well on our shores. Starting November 2, Microsoft will be offering Japanese gamers a chance to pick up an Xbox 360 core pack (including the system, a wired controller and component AV cables) bundled with Ninety-Nine Nights and Project Gotham Racing 3, all for 29,800 yen. That's a little over $250, making this one of the best gaming deals since Microsoft Japan practically gave the Xbox away a few years back
