Activision and developer Infinity Ward have announced that new multiplayer maps for Call of Duty 2 on Xbox 360 will be available for download next week.
A total of nine new maps have been created with the first four available to play at next week's E3. This will comprise of a Bonus Map Pack with German sites Vossenack and Wallendar - which will be released for free - while a Skirmish Map Pack comprising of Kalach in Russia and Beaumont-Hague in France will cost 400 points

Another platoon of screens from the console-only Call of Duty 3 has emerged from Microsoft's X06 media blowout - hit the images tab for some brooding warfront shots of US and German troops in the Normandy mud. Or hit the movie tab to see a superb new movie.
We were quite taken with the game when we played it earlier this month - no other WWII game brings out that heart-in-mouth sensation quite like Call of Duty and, even with a different developer working on this third
The biggest battles in Call of Duty 3 online right now are not between happy gamers, but between users and an apparently bug ridden service. An online petition has sprung up calling for Activision, the game's developers, to rectify the situation by producing and making available a patch, however according to the petition, currently the software giant seems unwilling to accept there is even an issue.
