Activision has been granted the rights to produce video games based on the James Bond license. MGM Interactive and EON Productions (the companies that control the digital Bond) announced a blanket deal with Activision that covers "current and next-generation consoles, PC, and handheld platforms." However, there are no specific announcements about specific consoles, software titles or stories - just the simple fact that Activision will be publishing Bond for the next eight years.

Ever since Microsoft and Sony unveiled their next-gen consoles at last year's E3 it has been suggested that PS3 would be a more powerful machine and would offer superior graphics. Codemaster's has today confirmed that its much loved and hugely successful off-road series is to reappear after its two year pit-stop as a next-gen racer, under the working title of CMR'07.

Activision and developer Infinity Ward have announced that new multiplayer maps for Call of Duty 2 on Xbox 360 will be available for download next week.
A total of nine new maps have been created with the first four available to play at next week's E3. This will comprise of a Bonus Map Pack with German sites Vossenack and Wallendar - which will be released for free - while a Skirmish Map Pack comprising of Kalach in Russia and Beaumont-Hague in France will cost 400 points
