Free Radical, the creator of Time Splitters, has come clean and admitted that its new FPS will be called Haze. And as well as confirming the story that we uncovered earlier this week, it has also produced the very first screens and footage - right out of thin air.

The spiritual successor to X-Men Legends, Marvel Ultimate Alliance will be bolstering PS3 and Wii's launch day line-up this autumn, and we've had a chance to see what it's like on the go.

Ultimate Alliance has the looks - we were able to see a PS3 version running, and it's as crisp as a dewy spring morning. But
After a long absence from the gaming world, classic survival horror series Alone in the Dark is back to terrify the control pad-wielding populace. Publisher Atari has let slip a teaser trailer, as well as few tantalizing details of the upcoming scare-fest.
The trailer is mostly a tech demo, showing off realistic, moody lighting full of mist and visible rays of light, and dangling only a few bloody hints as to what is going on. We spoke directly with Atari after seeing it, and were able to

We've laid our hands on the first shot of EA's forthcoming next-gen shooter, Army of Two, set for release on PS3 and Xbox 360 next year.
Developed by EA's Montreal studio, Army of Two intends to redefine two-man cooperative gameplay, as a deadly duo try to solve the world's conflict by shooting at things with guns.

The game has hopped from Dreamcast to GameCube to Xbox, never quite catching the mainstream MMO appeal. Phantasy Star Universe hopes to change that by offering a planet-spanning single-player game in addition to the limitless, online dungeon crawling.
The series began as a traditional, solo RPG,

When the first images of Splinter Cell: Double Agent surfaced, showing series hero and superspy Sam Fisher shaved bald and rocking a fashionable prison-orange jumpsuit, fans' brains reeled. Could Sam, the ultimate patriot, have snapped and become a bad guy?
Well, sort of, yeah. But only for a really good cause. Sam has gone deeply undercover, infiltrating an organization so secretive that in order to gain their trust, he has to do the same evil deeds as the enemy. This is the kind of
We're going to assume you already know the biggest bombshells from the Konami press conference - Metal Gear Solid 4 for PS3 and Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops for PSP. And you may even know all about Metal Gear Solid Digital Graphic Novel - a sort of animated comic retelling of the original Metal Gear Solid with original art by Ashley Wood. But there were a ton of non-MGS games vying for the attention of gamers as well, and appearing on nearly every console known to modern man.
