Ready to conquer
Wow, you'd think that Command & Conquer was a big deal or something. In addition to the laser-tastic screenshots that landed today, we just got word they pulled out the stops when hiring the talent for the in-game movies C&C is famous for. In addition to giving the nod to Joe Kucan, who returns as Kane, fans can look forward to Battlestar Galactica hotties Tricia Helfer and Grace Park lending their charms to C&C3. Wait 'til Emergence Day
Rumors have been circulating about a Gears of War demo on Xbox Live Marketplace for awhile now - especially since Microsoft UK put up an image that seemed to confirm it. Developer Epic Games Vice President, Mark Rein, has charged onto the official Gears of War forum to dispel the rumors - it isn't true. Instead, Game|Life reports EB and GameStop stores will be hosting "Gears of War preview parties" on October 21, with limited space available. Don't you love it when
Publisher Bethesda finally made it official: Knights of the Nine, the expansion to life-consuming uber-RPG The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will now make its way to the Xbox 360 and PC on November 21. The PS3 release date is currently listed as Nov. 17 (PS3 launch), and while that isn't etched in stone, we'd think it'll be within a month of that date.
Nine adds an all-new faction and new quests. Players will reportedly be able to form their own order of holy knights and lead them into battle -

Hot on the wheels of our look at the multiplayer modes on offer in the Xbox 360 version of Tony Hawk's Project 8, we've got some screens to show the new and old events in action. Sketch on up to the images tab to view them.
And continuing the series of behind-the-scenes looks at the big-name skaters lending their styles and looks to Project 8, hit the movies tab for some quality time with pro skater (and amateur Jackass) Bam
Elite Beat Agents is the best little DS game you don't know much about - a rhythm game from the creators of Gitaroo Man Lives! on the PSP, as well as cult import phenomenon Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan (a game Elite Beat Agents resembles a great deal, though it's definitely not the same game) The game looks, in our opinion, quite boss.
The biggest EBA fan in the world, though, is this dude called Chris Kohler. Good thing he runs a blog - because Nintendo has given him the track listing

We've been waiting for Superman since he missed his original date with the consoles back in June and now, finally, EA has provided a Daily Planet's worth of Xbox 360 shots to remind us he's still out there.
Delayed so that EA Tiburon - the creator of the Madden American football series - could get its heads around making the most of the game's massive Metropolis and supercharged hero, we're quietly hopeful that it's cracked it... if only because Supes has suffered some

Arriving fashionably late from August's Leipzig Game Convention, there's a whole seven minutes of Stranglehold gameplay waiting for you in the movies tab above - demonstrating a run-and-gun-through of the Tea House level.
While the developer commentary is a little dry - we ask you, how can a man sound so unenthused when he's just slow-mo shot some poor thug in the family jewels? - the action speaks for itself, with the restaurant left looking like a war zone by the time
Bully 1, bully 0
As much as we hate to legitimize raving lunatic Jack Thompson by talking up his bizarre adventures in jurisprudence, we have to smile when things like this happen. His battle to stop Florida stores from being able to sell Rockstar's Bully... didn't end so well, for him.
As Destructoid reported before the trial even ended - he failed. The presiding judge was led on a two-hour tour of the game by Rockstar and deemed it fit for sale. As Game|Life's Chris Kohler observed, though,
This fresh update of shots from Xbox 360's next-gen version of FIFA 07 won't give you much of an idea about how the game plays - fortunately our PS2 review of what's probably the best game in the series can do that for you - but they will whet your appetite for FIFA 's licensed luster when the game launches later this month. Do it again
(Some of) you did it two days ago for the PS3. Now, it's your chance to do it again for the Wii. Tomorrow morning, GameStop stores will open up preorders for Nintendo's system. While interest in it seems at least as high as for the PS3, there are likely to be many more units on store shelves this fall... so it's less pressing to get in the damn line. Still, if you live in the U.S. and you want one locked down, tomorrow is the day to head to EB Games or GameStop and get it done.
