Xbox 360 owners could be getting not just a second glimpse, but a playable demo of its superstar shooter Halo 3 in the first half of 2007.
So far, Halo-starved fans have only had the E3 2006 teaser movie to chew on, but Game Informer claims "sources have revealed" the demo is scheduled for next year - although their efforts to get an official response from Microsoft received the usual "no

Need for Speed Carbon is streaking to Xbox 360 next month - and PS3 next year - and so we've hauled out a gridful of images that show off the next-gen speedster's gleaming visuals and super-sharp supercars in action.
With the game's 'crew' add-on, where you can call in a member of your growing underground clique to disrupt rivals or help your racing, Carbon at least steps away from the pattern of previous games. And the new canyon racing is also a neat addition,
Are you a small child or a furry? Perhaps you merely have a whimsical sense of humor. Or you might simply desperately want free crap. Whatever - you might be interested in a contest Nintendo is currently running with the help of smugmug, a poorly-named site we'd describe as a flickr ripoff, except that it has lots of quotes on its front page talking about how awesome it is.
Anyway... the contest centers around the plot of the not-so-spectacular Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, in which the
The latest Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 trailer seems to have been made just to drop the "we only play it for the volleyball and dating-game elements" case out from under us - no gameplay, and all notorious "gravure" pose scenes. Hit the Movies tab above for the scandalous footage.
So, if you're game for watching the cast roll in the sand, pole-dance, torment crabs, bob on inflatable killer whales and look vulnerable in the jungle, this is the flick for
Good news / bad news
Our moles burrowed deep inside the twisted infrastructure of Splinter Cell: Double Agent publisher Ubisoft have discovered that the PC version is a virtually identical copy of the game on Xbox 360. This is great news for lovers of tense, neck-snapping action, since we're hopelessly addicted to Sam Fisher's next-gen turn on Microsoft's white monolith. The bad news: the PC version is delayed until October 31. Trick or treat, Sam?

Microsoft has announced a special Xbox 360 bundle that includes a copy of Pro Evolution Soccer 6, the next-generation edition of everyone's favourite football sim.
Released on 27 October and priced at a reasonable £300 - 20 quid more than a standalone Premium set - the pack comes with a 20Gb hard drive, an Xbox 360 headset and a 30-day trial for Gold membership on Xbox Live.
Xbox 360 is, as Microsoft loves telling us, the only place you can enjoy Pro Evolution
Def Jam 3 - also previously referred to as EA Chicago Hip-Hop Project - has been officially unveiled as DEF JAM: ICON, the next-gen leap for the hip-hop fighting series.
This first batch of screens gives you a proper face-to-face with what we reckon could be one of the best games of next year, with photorealistic rappers throwing down in hazard-filled stages that deform and move with the music. Hit the Images tab above for a better

This explosive dose of new footage from Call of Duty 3, the souped-up war shooter heading to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, promises some truly shattering action - including destructible environments, mass conflict and a few alarmingly low-flying aircraft. Hit the movies tab above for the exciting new vid.
We hunkered down in the mud for a gameplay session just last month, and 360 gamers will get to sign up to the cause before Christmas; PS3 owners will obviously have to

We don't really need to tell you that Gears of War is 360's biggest gun - with a chainsaw on the end of it - this year, but if you didn't already know these new screens should spell it out well enough.
Managing the three-for-three of being the loudest, best-looking and most violent title on the console to date (so much so that Microsoft won't even be releasing the game in blood-shy Germany), it's now less than a month away from release. That should give you enough time
Ready to conquer
Wow, you'd think that Command & Conquer was a big deal or something. In addition to the laser-tastic screenshots that landed today, we just got word they pulled out the stops when hiring the talent for the in-game movies C&C is famous for. In addition to giving the nod to Joe Kucan, who returns as Kane, fans can look forward to Battlestar Galactica hotties Tricia Helfer and Grace Park lending their charms to C&C3. Bespin resident #1 Billy Dee Williams and Michael "Sam Fisher"
