This morning following the US release of Batman: Arkham City, the LA times did a sizeable story on Warner Bros Interactive’s success this year, which other than Arkham City includes the multimillion-selling Mortal Kombat reboot. Near the end of the article, the company teased what lies in the future for them including a Hobbit game based on the upcoming film, a Lego Batman sequel and a mysterious new game featuring another DC Comics hero...

A game went on sale today at US retailers that you’ve been waiting for all year… Sims 3: Pets. But if you’re tired of the hype machine for that title, we’ve got a new video for a smaller release that came out this week you may have missed. It’s called Batman: Arkham City and you might have heard we liked it a whole hell of a lot. If you’re still on the fence about the DC Comics adaptation, perhaps this extended bit of gameplay from early in the campaign will convince you…

With Battlefield 3's open beta now over with, DICE has shared a few stats from the public playtest. Over 8 million players previewed the game's Metro map, and EA has preorders for the final game already exceeding 2 million. DICE puts a few of the bigger numbers into context: did you know that the number of people stabbed to death in the beta is equivalent to the population of Shanghai? What a morbid thought...

For nerds that enjoyed power bombing other players instead of obeying onside kick rules, NFL Blitz was the football game through most of the 90s, whether on home consoles or arcade. Then came the dark times, when EA got exclusive rights to make NFL games, leaving Blitz publisher Midway out in the cold, despite trying to rebrand it with new M-rated style and extra Lawrence Taylor. But happy days are here again, as EA picked up Midway’s fumble by announcing a new NFL Blitz that will arrive as early as January 2012...

It seems like every few months Microsoft reveals a new Xbox 360 bundle to try and entice the last few holdouts to buy their console. It throws in a bigger hard drive, includes a new game, or paints it to look like a robot. But it, for whatever reason, none of the previous bundles have convinced you to pull the trigger on a purchase, you'll have two more options this holiday. Microsoft has announced two new Xbox 360 bundles, each aimed at much different audiences...

At one point the Daytona USA series seemed dead, or at least the copyright didn’t belong to Sega anymore, but obviously things have changed. Now Sega is porting the arcade classic to XBLA and PSN, this time with online matches and the promise of improved graphics with less graphical draw in (we’re keeping the old graphics, as seeing the background pop-in is part of the quaint fun). Anyway, some new screens of the HD port hit the net today and we think they’re worth sharing, if only for the novelty of having “new” Daytona USA screens...

Capcom has announced the arrival of DLC for Dead Rising 2: Off the Record that will turn players into kickass, zombie-zapping, metal plated cyborgs. That's assuming you aren't one already. Not that it's bad if you are, just that we want you to know we're totally on your side...

Games like Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3 take themselves seriously. Games like Saints Row: The Third, however, do anything but. To drive this point home - and further distinguish itself from the massive amount of games coming out this fall - Volition has released a new trailer for its Saints Row sequel poking fun at its EA and Activision competitors and reminding us never to screw with dudes in chipmunk costumes...

Christina Hendricks appearing in live action is unforgettable whether it’s as part of Mad Men’s stellar cast or via Google image search results , so seeing a digital representation of her should be only be about 25 percent less striking by our estimation. Today EA revealed that its upcoming entry in the Need for Speed franchise, Need for Speed: The Run, features the stunning actress playing what seems to be the lead’s love interest. Oh, and a guy named Sean Farris from Vampire Diaries plays that lead whom she’ll be interested in...

Even if you're skipping Batman: Arkham City this week, there's still plenty of game out there for you, some of which you can pick up for much less than the price of a full retail game. For instance, you could download 'The Missing Link,' a downloadable content pack for Deus Ex: Human Revolution. For a mere $15 it adds 5-6 hours of gameplay to the game and, best of all, you don't need to leave home to get it. Just jump onto the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, or Steam and BAM! You're sneaking around a boat as Adam Jensen. Don't have Deus Ex yet? Well, you're in luck: Amazon is having a sale today, dropping the price down on all versions of the game...
