Seriously, what is going on? These new screens illustrate gaming disappearing up its own hat, as the Dynasty Warriors machine creaks back into action, blinkered by fan demand and all but unchanged by the relentless march of technology and invention and innovation. Fresh, it aint.
Don't get us wrong, we were once big fans. Dynasty Warriors 2 kept us warm on cold winter nights, hammering our way through hundreds upon thousands of hapless Chinese soldiers until the body count hurt

We loved Devil May Cry 3's demon killer, Lady. After all, what man could possibly resist a woman that can cartwheel through the air while shooting guns from both hands. We're absolutely made up, then, that this hot femme is set to make a return in Devil May Cry 4. And she's had a makeover.
As you can see from the side-by-side comparison below, Lady has ditched the moody school girl with a missile launcher image in favour of a more mature, yet sizzlingly sexy look. The straining,

Want to see more Devil May Cry 4? Point your eyes downwards for the latest trailer, which features more spectacular in-game action alongside some new cutscenes. There's a little blood, a lot of fire and bucketloads of stylish combat. It's great to see the familiar 'guns pointed skywards' combo play of the original still going strong.
Once you've played the video (a few times, probably), head over to the images tab and take a look at the new shots.

Dark Sector, the weird Resi 4-a-like where your hand is also a razor-sharp boomerang of death, is predictably pursuing a plot line of odd science and dark experiments. And, as this fresh video illustrates, some of the chaps you'll meet will be odd scientists in dark places. Nice.
Seriously, though, Dark Sector looks nice. It's got vicious weapons, bio-mechanical man-machine goodness and lots and lots of high-tempo action in gritty East European locales. All you need for a love-in

Whoever thought it would be a great idea to make Devil May Cry 4's new character look exactly like the previous one and then put them both in the game together? These guys look identical. Oh, except for their capes. But still, the Xbox 360 and PS3 action fest is looking awesome indeed. We brought you screens of the two in combat earlier, but we've now got a video of it too. Check it out below.

Why do zombies have to ruin everything? Not content with setting up shop in Raccoon City, or walking around really slowly in a shopping mall, they've now got their mutated little hands on Dead Island's tropical paradise.
Developed by Techland, the same team who created Call of Juarez, the game will allow you to use just about anything you can find on the island to beat back the zombie hordes. But dont worry, as you can see from the shots, there will also be a range of the more

Dark Sector developer Digital Extremes claims that supposed criticisms of Epic Games' Unreal Engine 3 were actually taken out of context.
Australian website Gameplayer ran an interview Monday with Dark Sector director Steve Sinclair, who reportedly told the publication, "A lot of promises were made about the Unreal 3 engine, particularly on PS3. But as we see now, the time frames haven't been met and now a lot of games using it are being held up."
Digital Extremes now says that
Digital Extremes, long-time partner of Epic and developer of Unreal Championship and Dark Sector, has added to the crossfire aimed at Unreal Engine 3.
In an interview with Australian site Gameplayer, Dark Sector director Steve Sinclair claims that the company opted out of using Epic's ever-popular engine so that it could hit its desired release date.
"A lot of promises were made about the Unreal Engine 3, particularly on PS3," he said. "But as we see now, the time frames haven't been met and

Konami has said that the Leipzig convention later this week will play host to Hideo Kojima unveiling his new, undisclosed in-game themes for Metal Gear Solid 4 on PS3 with a new trailer.
The event will also be a platform for the firm to showcase Winning Eleven Pro Evolution Soccer 2008, Castlevania The Dracula X Chronicles and Silent Hill Origins for PSP, and Dewy's Adventure on Wii.
Plans will also be revealed for the recently announced Silent Hill V (working title), although
What would happen if you took Dead Rising, Silent Hill and Soldier of Fortune and combined them into one game? Three discs glued together if you're like us, but if you know that fancy programming stuff, Dead Island.
That's the game that's just been announced by Techland, the developers behind Call of Juarez. It's said to have a non-linear style of gameplay where you're forced to search all over a zombie-infested island for your missing wife. Making things interesting is the fact that you'll be
