Bad news if you're bored of XBLA arcade shooters and puzzle games; there are plenty of them lined up for the next few weeks.
As well as confirming this week's release, (another) arcade shooter Mutant Storm Empire, Microsoft has detailed the seven games in the running for the next few weeks including N+, Switchball and, uh, SpongeBob SquarePants.
Mutant Storm Empire, the sequel to Mutant Storm Reloaded, will be up tomorrow morning for 800 Microsoft Points (£6.80). Here's

EA has uploaded the first download content for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 in the form of one new course - the Doral Golf Course.
For 400 Microsoft points (that's $5.00 or £3.40 in real money) you get 18 holes on one of the toughest courses in the world, for you to master.

The XBLA version sports a

Gauntlet, Dig Dug, Zuma Deluxe and (something worth buying) Small Arms have all been slashed for the weekend, the first two down to 200 ($2.50 or £1.70) points and the latter two for 400 points ($5.00 or £3.40).
The last one - a Power Stone-style fighter/platformer from Gastronaut - is definitely worth picking up if you've got some points
Right on time, Microsoft has confirmed this week's Xbox Live Arcade offerings as Konami's Rush 'n Attack and Xevious from Namco.
The first game is a side-scrolling shooter which has you gunning through levels rescuing prisoners of war. It's been given a slight (and we mean slight) visual overhaul for XBLA, along with the usual Leaderboard and Achievement mischief.
Xevious is a shooter of the vertical kind, with spaceships and other exciting stuff to shoot at. It was pretty damn good fun back

The man responsible for overseeing the Xbox Live Arcade portfolio, David Edery, has revealed that Microsoft wants to offer a more diverse selection of games on its popular download service.
In an interview with Gamasutra, Edery admitted that there were certain types of game that Microsoft were looking to bring to XBLA, specifically "More 'experimental' games and models of gameplay... Non-combat, cooperative multiplayer games... More board games."
