Have a look at who you'll be meeting in the digital Octagon this winter with THQ's "epic" roster trailer for the upcoming UFC Undisputed 3...
Fans of professional man-hugging and jaw-dislocating now have one more way to deal out the pain in THQ's upcoming UFC Undisputed 3. Today, the publisher announced it signed UFC heavyweight fighter Alistair Overeem to the game's roster just in time for his upcoming match against Brock Lesnar, but only for players who do a little legwork on Facebook...
Epic Games founder and current CEO Tim Sweeney has been selected as the 16th inductee into the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) Hall of Fame. Set to be made official during the 2012 D.I.C.E. Summit this February, the honor will see Sweeney rewarded for his contributions to gaming, including his development of the Unreal Engine and his hand in creating some of gaming's most memorable franchises.

Nolan North is arguably the best-known actor in videogames, due in no small part to his having starred in pretty much all of them. And while he's relishing his role as the vocal and facial lead of the Assassin's Creed franchise, North has a suggestion for Ubisoft: he wants to start strapping ping-pong balls to his extremities in the name of Assassin's Creed, and he wants other voice-actors to do the same...
Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 is out tomorrow (couldn’t you tell when you read our review?) and while it’s just an update of a less-than-a-year-old game, how many games will you play this fall that star a talking, mercenary raccoon? As part of one last push from Capcom before the game is out, we have the fancy cinematic launch trailer. While it might be lacking when it comes to character movement, we really like the dramatic tableaus the many fighters take in the video.
During a recent hands-on with THQ’s upcoming UFC Undisputed 3, the developers talked a little bit about how the game’s menus have been entirely redesigned. Instead of having the menu icons appear over generic wallpapers, this iteration of the fighting franchise will pan over different high-resolution pictures of fighters. While the game will, obviously, ship with a number of different backgrounds, THQ says that it plans to offer additional image packs after launch, which will be made available as downloadable content...
Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3’s expanded roster is full of wonderfully strange additions, and now one of the most confusing finally gets showcased in these new trailers. Some might have thought adding Phoenix Wright was niche, but that’s nothing compared to Rocket Raccoon. Perhaps 99% of readers haven’t heard of the space-faring animal-man, but those dissatisfied should find solace in today’s other gameplay reveal for Frank West...
Fighting game expert Maximilian has returned with your old pal Doctor Doom to teach us another lesson about the new characters added to Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. We already saw the dangerous duo give us a lengthy rundown on how best to use Strider and Hawkeye, now we get some real insight into the controls of Nemesis and Dr Strange. Plus Max and Doom make a new friend.
THQ has released a party-sized haul of screens for the upcoming UFC Undisputed 3, and the game's attention to detail is apparent in every one of the new glimpses. Fighters drip sweat, bruise and bloody each others' pretty faces, and grimace at the receipt of a particularly palpable blow. Yes, that's real pain these digitized brawlers are feeling: this isn't professional wrestling, you know...
