  • Hot on the heels of Square Enix releasing a new set of screenshots from Final Fantasy XIII-2, now news has slipped out that the company will be partnering with Ubisoft to outfit one of its RPG heroes with a DLC wardrobe plucked straight from the Assassin's Creed: Revelations.

    The cross-promotion will see FFXIII-2's lead Noel Kreiss outfitted with Ezio Auditore's assassin outfit from the latest sequel. Details of the design swap are sparse, however Square Enix did promise a firm release date and price tag shortly...

  • Two new titles were unveiled today for inclusion in the Xbox Live Arcade family of casual-friendly games. Both Astropop and Feeding Frenzy will be available for download starting immediately via Xbox Live. Astropop is a space-themed, block-puzzler where players are challenged to use a magnet ray to grab and match colored blocks in an odd marriage of Tetris and Breakout (or Brickout... or Super Breakout ).     After last week’s combo of big titles like Shadows of the Damned and FEAR 3, it looks like gaming is entering its annual summer drought of retail releases. There are still promising smaller games like Catherine, El Shaddai, and Earth Defense Force coming out, but the retail release schedule doesn’t really heat up until Madden 12 at the end of August. Fortunately Microsoft’s fourth annual Summer of Arcade is headed to Xbox Live to energize the next couple months, and we now have the full release schedule for all five games...
