Just when we were getting used to having a new release every week, Microsoft has gone and prepped two titles for release on Xbox Live Arcade this Wednesday.
3D Ultra Minigolf Adventures and Gyruss are the two downloadable games arriving this week, for 800 and 400 Microsoft points respectively.
Of course it's no surprise that Microsoft is attempting to get more games onto the download service; casual games boss Bryan Trussel told us last month that the company was trying to "trying to bump up

December is the month of giving and, better yet, receiving. December is the month when sugarplum visions of $400 consoles and $60 games dance through your head. And, of course, December is the month when your loved ones usually just cheap out and buy you a gift card instead.

In 2007 though, weve had a very good year indeed. A scarily good year in fact. One which has provided us so much brilliance on every format that its a genuine worry that the laws of karmic balance will soon bring us a plague
If there's any game likely to remove GTA IV from the top of the German charts, it's a PC game, and Age of Conan has gone and done it.
Funcom's Hyborian Adventures went and nabbed the number one chart slot from Rockstar in both Germany and Sweden, sending GTA IV to number two in the territories.
In the UK, GTA IV still reigns supreme, with Conan sitting in the number two slot.

It's what we've always wanted out of life - grow a 'stache, embark on epic adventures, bag yourself a lady friend and er... raze entire villages to the ground. After Pete Molyneux shocked the gaming world by revealing a pet dog, he described the potential of a next gen, living, breathing Albion. We bought the dream,

Freedom of speech? Bah! Who wants that? Games are clearly rotting humanity’s collective eternal soul and must be banned accordingly. The following collection of violent, titillating titles have offended censors all over the world. Some have been beaten to death by the banning bat for their gory deaths, others for displaying acts of girl-on-girl action, while one was even banned for having a two-headed cow. Really, just what is this

Halo 3 touches down September 26, GTA IV takes over town on October 19 and now it's been confirmed by Ubisoft that the swelteringly anticipated Assassin's Creed will be pushing its way through the crowds for a worldwide release on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in November. That's three massive games in three consecutive months.
And while Ubisoft's stealthy killer will certainly have its work cut out following in the trail of Halo and GTA, the game's publisher/developer is confident that Assassin's

Game soundtracks should not be underestimated. Not only do they make games more pleasurable for the ears, but a quality musical score can elevate the entire game experience to something extra special with goosebumps. The following 10 games are all nominated in the Soundtrack of the Year category for this year's Golden Joystick Awards. Only one of them can win.
