Huxley, a first-person MMO, was first announced way back at E3 2005. The game utilized Unreal Engine 3 and was supposed to come to both Xbox 360 and PC. Things have changed since then, of course. Huxley has gone through numerous delays and the console version has been put on hold indefinitely.

Joystiq: Speaking with ijji.com earlier today, just before we got a hands-on with upcoming MMOFPS Huxley: The Dystopia, the company confirmed to us that the game is going with the microtransaction model. Torrence Just got news today that Huxley will be shown at E3. It was one of my predictions up until today. They even had countdowns on their page that end on the first day of E3. I will have a 50min hands on with Huxley and should have my report up within the hour after playing. There's no confirmation as to whether the 360 version will be up and running at E3 yet.
March 27, 2009 - Developers and publishers love announcing massively multiplayer online games for Xbox 360 early on in the dev cycle. By the end, though, they rarely wind up materializing. Such appears to be the case for Huxley, a MMO with a first-person shooter flavor.
Big Download writes: It's been a long, hard road for the Unreal Engine 3 based sci-fi MMOFPS Huxley. The Webzen-developed game was first announced way back in 2005. Earlier this year it was announced that NHN USA had picked up the US publishing rights to the game and planned on launching it as a free-to-play MMO on their web site ijji.com before the end of the year. Unfortunately it looks like that's not going to happen after all. We have learned that Huxley's launch has been pushed back for the US market until the first half of 2009. We spoke on the phone with NHN USA's PR rep who said that the development team wanted more time to handle the game's localization issues. Huxley has been in open beta in Korea for the past few months.
Let the fragging mayhem begin in Korea! Gamers eager to test out their fragging skills against thousands of other players now have their chance as WEBZEN announces that the first twitch-action massively multiplayer online first-person shooting (MMOFPS) game Huxley has entered open beta testing in Korea. Online first-person shooter Huxley has finally found a publisher that will release the game through an online portal later this year.
Distributor NHN USA has confirmed it has picked up the rights to publish the title in North America and Western Europe.
Those eagerly anticipating the combination of twitch-based gameplay and role-play sensibilities will be able to download it from the NHN USA's portal.
NHN USA has yet
When Webzen first debuted Huxley to great fanfare during the 2005 Electronic Entertainment Expo. At that time, the game garnered its fair share of attention thanks to the promise of addictive first-person shooter combat made even more so by massively multiplayer online role-playing game sensibilities.
