Grand Theft Auto IV

Great game, but hopefully V will trample it.

best game ever!

Out of all the grandtheft autos i have played, this is the best one. First all my friends asked why there were hookers. I know the reason. In the old grandtheft autos, you would have 100 health. if you banged a hooker you would get 125 heath.in simple terms a health boost. in the new grandtheft autos i think theyre here because its for pleasure. The story line is way better than all of the other ones. it made sense. the cutscenes were actually interesting. The graphics and the realism in this game were astonishing. they blew my mind away. The wepons are realistic and the body armor is also sadley realitic.you cant jump off a huge bulilding and live like the old ones{excluding san andreis}when you jump out a car doing 120 mph down the freeway, dont expect to be stopping shortly.you can die even if you have body armor so watch out! also on xboxlive you can get the ballad of gay tony for about 2,000 xboxlive points. The onlg problem i had with this game was that i could never connect to my friends in freeroam online ir kept saying diconnected from game if anyone has had this problem or knows how to fix this please Answer this or message me on my xbox live account Popy528 thank you

this game is real great realllllllyyyyyy great.......but were is the next model 4 sanaddres that was the best freakn game that ive ever played so far.....but can wait al all 4 it to come out i need an respons

I've been playing through this game and i have to say it is quite good but so very overrated. And it dosen't really deserve top marks when it's basically the same game we've been playing since 2001.

when a hooker is standing on the sidwalk(not walking) go up to her honk the horn and wait for her to get next to the car. then press LB
then take her to a quiet spot with no one around gett your pleasure then shoot her to get your money back. ;)

I forgot to mention the sky. Sun up, sun down, sun up, sun down, EVERY 5 MINUTES. That was quite annoying.

If I had to make this game better I'd model it after GTA Vice City. I miss the cartoony, sunny style. And weapons like the sword. And the bloody decapitations. THAT was a fun game.

I haven't in any way beat this game, I only played the first few missions and messed around online with friends a few times. And then it just sat there and took up my shelf space, I never looked back.

You know why?? Because this game is a serious..SERIOUS bore. Where do I start? Well the story. The story wasnt that bad honestly, but it wasnt enough to keep me playing. Car jacking, I remember the old days when cars didnt run you over when you stood in front of them. Hijacking cars has gotten alot more difficult with the citizens fighting back, and I must say as realistic as it may be, I am not a fan.

Now, onto the guns. The guns seem to play all the same with exceptions to the sniper and the rocket launcher. The rocket launcher, for someone who enjoys blowing things up, was incredibly disappointing. The only thing you could blow up was the cars, shoot a rocket into the side of a building, nothing happened. That frusterated me. And blowing up car after car got incredibly repetitive, I mean its not even like car parts flew everywheere impaling the unfortunate people standing nearby, which would be realistic AND awesome. But no..just incredibly disappointing, anticlimatic controlled explosions. SIGH.

Now the sniper was truely the only fun weapon in the game. You could get yourself on top of a building and look down shooting people on the street like fish in a barrel, watching the cops swarm around looking confused. I'll admit that entertained me for a little while. But when youv've done it once the fun is over.

Now, vehicles. We'll start with cars, boring looking crs drive boring as usual, But even when you get those really fast cars, you think "this is going to be so fun!" But no. Don't kid youself. You won't be able to go over 100 mph for very long on account of how crowdud the city streets are. Even the one bridge in the game is crowded. It is no fun to get a nice car, only to crash it trying to use it's awesome speed capabilities.

Helicopters. For one, driving a helicopter is no simple task. "am I going forward? I can't tell, I think I'm just getting higher. how do I turn this stupid thing?" Also, it's very very sad, when you go up in a helicopter only to find out you can see the boundries of THE ENTIRE MAP. Well gee, I guess I've seen all I can see now, yes? Just look at how disappointingly small that map is.
SIGH.

Boats. Boats drive fine, but theres nothing in the water and no reason at all to even drive one. The most fun Ive had in a boat was to drive as far as I can away from the city. I couldnt even see it as a speck anymore. I think thats all they are good for. WAIT you can do that with a helicopter too. Well then, why drive a boat? I dont know.

Now onto crashing cars on purpose, it's very frusterating when your trying your very hardest to do large ammounts of damage to your wehicle, like a deranged stuntman, only to inflict but a few anticlimatic dents. The only parts that ever fly off are your hood, and maybe a wheel but I dont remember ever losing a wheel. In my opinion cars should explode into a million pieces of car guts.

You can see ALL this game has to offer within a few hours. And none of it is worth repeating. I give it a 5 out of 10.
