Destructoid: Today, over on Amazon, the Xbox 360 version of Golden Axe: Beast Rider is on sale for fifteen dollars. I asked Jim Sterling, who reviewed the game when it released last October, if he thought that was a reasonable price to ask for the action title. While he was not sufficiently plussed by the game to recommend people purchase it, he did believe that there was some entertainment value to be had there and that, while the asking price of fifteen dollars was pushing it, it might be acceptable.

For the second year running, the Xbox 360 is the king of consoles. Barely edging out the impressive PS3, the swanky new dash and the amazing exclusives like Gears of War 2 and Fable 2 put Microsoft over the top. The Wii's casual focus didn't garner it any votes this year.

Eurogamer writes: SEGA plans to unleash PS3 and 360 action role-playing game Golden Axe: Beast Rider on 17th October. Despite having initially been scheduled for September, we still know relatively little about this 2008 interpretation of a series that began in the arcades, back in 1989. So far what we know comes from trailers; the lady warrior with barely any clothes appears to be the main character, and uses various types of beasts as mounts to get around and crush people with. Golden Axe: Beast Rider will also carry an 18 rating for its assortment of blood and gore and dismemberments.
