TalkRadar UK is a weekly podcast from the gentlemen of GamesRadar UK. If you're looking for insightful, witty and considered game conversation, interspersed with serious debate about the pressing game issues of the day - you might as well click back and moonwalk the hell out of here.

Personally, I loved Split/Second. The review we posted may not have scored as high as I would’ve, but if you’re sick of the licensed car, simulation rigmarole as much as I am, trust me: Split/Second is your offensive breath of fresh air. It doesn’t fall back on the dated kart/combat mechanics of yesteryear either, and instead pretty much lets you play inside Jerry Bruckheimer’s brain!

Anyway, the whole shebang is presented like an episodic Hollywood production. We’d hate to see any of you wander into the proceedings like a deer in headlights, so we recommend firing up those Blu-ray players and prepping yourself for the carnage. When I asked the developers what films inspired them, and it turns out Michael Bay’s brightly lit, non-lethal film series of toys come to life fit the bill...

Bought a new system recently? Planning on dipping your quivering toes into the icy waters of another platform? Or maybe you just want to make sure you own the platform-defining titles and be able to say yes, you know your chosen system? We’ve laid out the must-haves for every current platform: 360, PS3, Wii, PC, DS, PSP, and even mobile phones. For the most part these are the best games out there, but we’ve also picked a few that while flawed, take advantage of their platform’s greatest strengths...

With the release of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, the much-loved Prince from the epic Sands of Time trilogy has finally returned for a current-gen sequel that's faster and slicker (and maybe a little more soulless) than his previous adventures. Unsurprisingly, that also means that - like nearly every current-gen game worth a damn - the new Prince of Persia is crammed with its own hidden whatsits that you need to ferret out. In this case, they're 21 glowing Sarcophagi that need to be smashed open with a power attack.

What do you get if you track them all down? Well, a whole mess of experience points, for one, which can then unlock new abilities for the Prince to use. Perhaps more importantly, you'll earn the "Got Walkthrough?" Achievement/Trophy, worth either 50 Gamerpoints or a Gold Trophy. You also can't backtrack (without starting a new game) if you miss any, so we recommend you keep this guide handy while you play.

A fresh new episode for your listening pleasure has arrived. The team this week includes Cundy, Dave H, Nathan and a piss-soaked chair that we found in the studio. Eugh. Hear what the worst games we've seen through to the bitter end are in Question of the Week, your voices beamed directly across the airwaves from the GamesRadar Hotline and some contemporary chatter about the gaming world in general including the release of Red Dead Redemption and Sony''s plan to charge for premium PSN usage.

Oooh, and be sure to pay attention as Matt is semi-attacked by an Aphid LIVE ON AIR! Also, there's a test of Nathan's Trophy whoring ways as a horrible ultimatum is put to him about making 'man love' with a certain C-list celebrity.

There's a worrying trend appearing on PSN and Xbox Live. Premium downloadable content which amounts to completing the game for you in exchange for cash. The prices may be small, but you're effectively removing challenge (and therefore longevity) while making your game more expensive. Surely that's crazy talk?

Split/Second: Velocity is the latest to offer an unlock code that opens up every car, track and event in the game, here for a total of 560 MS Points (£4.80/$7.00). Such an 'unlock all' command used to be implemented in games as a cheat code that you would enter at the title screen. But why do that when you can charge for it? Look at this craziness:

A brand new gameplay trailer for Treyarch's upcoming Cold War 'em up Call of Duty: Black Ops has been released, and it's absolutely packed with stuff. Gameplay, weapon and story details abound, but there's just one catch. Being a fast-cut, adrenalin-haemorraging trailer, most of details fly by too quickly to spot.

But not any more.

We've done our traditional fine-toothing job and pulled out every detail you need to know about. What have we found out? Black Ops could turn out to be way better than you ever expected...

If you thought the Germans were only good for making affordable hatchbacks and the finest sausage meat known to mankind, you'd be wrong. Very wrong. Because they're also great at making God-awful pop videos starring a dude dressed as Master Chief... in a bar that looks exactly like the cantina from Star Wars... while he dabbles in a bit of Minority Report touch screen action. What's the German for 'crippling lawsuit'?

Recently we sat in a room with Jordan Thomas, creative director at 2K Marin, and questioned him about BioShock 2. There were so many sentences and words to listen to, the poor fellow who transcribed the interview broke down in tears and fled the building, his poorly constructed headphones still plastered to his sweat-matted hair. Fortunately for us, we managed to retrieve the following spoiler-peppered words for your delectation...
