Vivendi Universal's Eragon for Microsoft Corp.'s Xbox 360 dropped to $9.99 Mon. at online retailer Amazon.com. The action title, which carries a list price of $39.99, was released to the U.S. in Nov. 2006.

A demo of Eragon has just been released on Marketplace (415 MB). The fantasy-adventure game is based on the novel written by Christopher Paolini, and will be released on PC, 360, PSP, DS, Xbox and Playstation 2 in November.
The first fire-breathing screens of movie-based slasher Eragon have hatched from their egg. Sierra Entertainment today revealed that the cast to the upcoming movie Eragon will also be used as voice overs in the next-gen title Eragon. Take a look at the list of stars who will be voicing the characters in the Eragon game...
Haven't heard of Eragon yet? Don't worry. If some in-the-know teen hasn't recited the entire book - which supplanted Harry Potter's latest atop the bestseller list - to you by this summer, the commercials for the movie will surely clue you in. Or, you can just lock yourself in a closet and miss out on a swashbuckling fantasy adventure about a teenage boy (named Eragon) who fights a corrupt king with the aid of a strong sword and a pet dragon - it's your call, really.
