Xbox 360's first Japanese RPG makes the move to Sony's new console. Software will bring Enchanted Arms to the PS3, the latest issue of Famitsu reveals. The company is porting over the Xbox 360's first Japanese RPG to Sony's new system for Japanese release some time this Winter.

According to rumors, Enchanted Arms' developer, From Software, gave a hint to Japanese magazine Famitsu about a planned version of the game for the PlayStation 3.

Today Ubisoft, one of the world's largest video game publishers, announced that Enchanted Arms has shipped exclusively for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, and will be available on store shelves this week. Enchanted Arms was created by development studio FromSoftware in Japan and is the first true next-generation Japanese role-playing game (RPG). We are very excited to bring the first classic Japanese RPG game for the Xbox 360 to North America, said Tony Key, vice president of marketing at Ubisoft. Enchanted Arms' fast-action, deep storyline, stunning high-definition graphics, rich and colorful environments, and multitude of controllable creatures make it a must-have for every Xbox 360 owner.

Due for release on 29 August, Enchanted Arms is the fully localized version of From Software's more awkwardly named and rather annoyingly capitalized [eM] eNCHANT arM, the first traditional Japanese RPG to emerge on the Xbox 360.

Enchanted Arms, coming from Japan, definitely aims toward Final Fantasy's style. The game stars university student Atsuma - whose glossy hair and vacant smirk mark him as true hero material.
