Neocrisis: In preparation of the spring 2011 launch of Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon, D3Publisher announced today that the 360 classic Earth Defense Force 2017 is now available for Xbox LIVE Games on Demand.
Earth Defense Force lives! D3 Publisher ported Earth Defense Force 2017 (aka Earth Defense Force 3 in Japan), their giant bug shooting game, to cell phones and it looks pretty good. The game is in 3D and screenshots from the official page show a horde of spiders. Visually, it isn't as refined as the Xbox 360 game, but let's be honest that wasn't jaw dropping in the first place.
