SouthPeak Games had today announced that the previously PC download-only title Blood Bowl will be coming to the 360 and PSP in 2010. There will also be a retail version of the PC game available soon too. Basically, Blood Bowl is based on the Warhammer series of the same name. It's like American football but with weapons, blood and lots of questionable rules (maybe that last one applies to the NFL regardless). The 360 and PC retail releases will arrive in January, while the PSP gets a tentative 'Spring' date.

GamingShogun writes, Previously, we introduced you to two races: the Orcs and the Humans, classic enemies from the Blood Bowl world. Today, we are pleased to introduce two more races: the brave and stout Dwarfs versus the savagely agile Lizardmen. The two teams have completely different tactics that lead to spectacular face-offs when these two teams play each other. Dwarfs are incredibly strong and are naturally gifted with the 'block' ability, allowing a relentless offence against opponents. They can face off against the most fearful creatures and withstand high levels of punishment thanks to Dwarf armor and thick skulls! Their weakness is their slow speed and their poor agility. Opposing teams always have a hard time piercing through these veritable living walls...

French developer Cyanide Studios has finally released first in-game screenshots from Blood Bowl, its game based on Games Workshop's table-top title.
Blood Bowl, for anyone unaware, is a brutal fantasy sport - think rugby meets American football meets orcs and magic and a pitch strewn with limbs.
In addition to releasing first screenshots, Cyanide's explained that the game features both real-time and turn-based play modes - the latter obviously a nod to the title's roots - plus
