This week's top five all-platform requests show little movement once again, after last week saw the list barely ruffled. Assassin's Creed still takes the top spot for a third week with Mass Effect in second for its second week in a row. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, which spent the last two weeks at number four, slips a bit to the fourth spot to make room for Kane and Lynch: Dead Men to move up one spot into the fourth spot, but that's the only movement -- Uncharted: Drake's Fortune stays at number five, where it entered last week.

Midway announced today that Blacksite Area 51 has gone gold and will be in stores Nov. 12th for Xbox 360 and PC with a PlayStation 3 version expected in time for the holidays. Another demo for Xbox Live is scheduled to be released soon, and a PS3 demo will be released later this year.

Midway also confirmed to Eurogamer this afternoon that Blacksite: Area 51 will launch on PC and 360 in November. However, it will definitely not be joined by the PS3 version, which looks like it might not show up until next year. But unfortunately Midway remained coy over revelations that the promised online co-operative play had been dropped from the final game, after IGN unearthed its absence in a recent hands-on play test.

In an interview in UK videogame trade paper MCV, a Midway representative has made the interesting claim that BlackSite (its forthcoming sci-fi FPS) will actually benefit from going up against Halo 3.
