Bionic Commando (Next-Gen)

It seems like just yesterday we were playing Bionic Commando on our NES. But it was actually last week, because we at the GR offices love us some Bionic Commando, whether we’re playing with an expensive prop or beating other gaming journalists for a kick-ass lunch box.

And it seems even yesterdaier that the next-gen return of BC was announced. But the much anticipated title is just days away.

A new gameplay trailer from Capcom's reinvention of Bionic Commando is available to view in our equally bionic video player: Accompanying the trailer are three new screenshots which all look as lovely as this one. In addition to the next-gen title, there's also a PlayStation Network/Xbox Live Arcade release of the classic game called Bionic Commando: Rearmed. Oct 29, 2007 Refusing to let the Bionic Commando hype train loose any momentum, Capcom has released another batch of screenshots and videos following the game's reveal earlier this month. In case you missed it (or are under the age of 16), it's the sequel to the original side-scrolling platformer starring a mechanical-armed hero who could navigate around levels with his grappling hook abilities. The West-meets-East follow-up is being handled by new outfit Grin, retaining all of the swinging

There's little of the game revealed that we didn't already know, but the new images are still worth a look, since they give you a fuller idea of the world and enemies that you'll be facing

What we were shown was basically a 'proof of concept', being little more than a small
