Last week we reported on a rumor that Beyond Good & Evil 2's lead designer, Michel Ancel, left Ubisoft for a new studio, thus suspending development of the crazy anticipated sequel. Balderdash, says a representative from Ubisoft, who told Eurogamer that Ancel is still with Ubi, and that BG&E2's development is unchanged...

A video has appeared on YouTube that its uploader is claiming is the first gameplay footage of UbiSoft's Beyond Good and Evil 2. We were alerted to it by Twitter chat, where it was suggested it could be faked footage, but on further inspection - and bearing in mind it's proximity to E3 week - we're inclined to think it might be genuine... what do you think? Expect more on this later
I’d name the first Beyond Good and Evil a winner of the Psychonauts Underappreciated Genius Award, except that BGE was released in 2003 and Psychonauts came out in 2005, so I guess it’s really the other way around.
