Band of Bugs - Xbox Live Arcade

The Xbox Live Deal of the Week typically only features one game and may occasionally go as high as two. Microsoft must have gone a little crazy this week because they have put three games on sale this week for 50% off and one Indie Game on sale for 66% off. All four games allow gamers to use their Xbox 360 Avatar in the game.

BeefJack writes: From next Wednesday July 8th, your Xbox 360 avatar will be able to fight for you. That's assuming you have the XBLA game Band of Bugs, and get the new mode that will be released for it called Spider Hunter, and you will also be able to use said Avatar in the single player mode, replacing main character Maal. The download will be free, which is always a bonus, and will let you cast fireballs and spells with your avatar.

NinjaBee, the creators of the first fully-enabled Avatar game on Xbox LIVE[Registered] Arcade, A Kingdom for Keflings, announced today that beginning July 8, Band of Bugs will include Avatar support. In addition, NinjaBee will be releasing Tales of Kaloki, a new, game-changing DLC for Band of Bugs.

Console Monster writes: As it is Valentine's weekend we decided we would give you readers the opportunity to win 1 of 3 arcade codes. The codes are for A Kingdom for Keflings, Band of Bugs and Cloning Clyde. So what do I have to do? It's very simple. All you have to do is leave a comment about anything you want. It could be about which game you want out of the 3, a poem for that someone special, something that will make us laugh or just a comment about how great we are. It doesn't matter as the winners will be drawn at random...

Nintendo, which has been historically criticised for not providing enough software for its platforms, emerges as the clear winner this week ¿ at least in terms of quantity. Specficially, American gamers get to choose between eight DS titles over the next five days, including the likes of Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2008 and Pocket Pets. Also, a quintet of Wii releases are available through Friday, which includes the towering arrival of Godzilla Unleashed and Myth Makers: Super Kart GP.
