Today I bring you Alone in the Dark, which was released in 2008. While the game received less than stellar review scores (a 3.5 from IGN) the game still served a purpose. That purpose was being a scary game which it did succeed at doing. Its most innovative feature is how you use fire which can be seen in the video below. Cody @ VideoGameBlogger

That Gaming Site Writes: Since it's release Alone in the Dark has received some pretty harsh criticism regarding the control scheme. Even we here at That Gaming Site admit the controls could use some work! Atari has taunted us with a patch that may never make it to the Xbox 360 and PC versions of the game! Instead of waiting for the day that may never come we have found a way to make your experience with the controls a little more tolerable!

MTV Multiplayer's Patrick Klepek reports: Eden Games is making some much needed control, camera and inventory changes to Alone in the Dark before it arrives on PlayStation 3. These changes are in direct response to criticisms of the Xbox 360 version. At the Leipzig Games Convention, Eurogamer reported news of a patch so Xbox 360 owners could enjoy the same changes. While checking out the tweaked Alone in the Dark in a San Francisco hotel yesterday, game designer Emile Morel couldn't explicitly promise such a patch was coming.

Antoine Villette, founder of I Am Alive developer Darkworks, has told VG247 he believes Alone in the Dark can still be great, but only if Atari is prepared to make radical changes to its format.
