X-Men Destiny reveals more mutations with new set of screens

Activision has unleashed a set of new screens showcasing more mutant powers in X-Men Destiny. So far, most look very projectile-oriented with beams of energy and waves of shadow matter knocking over evil minions from afar.

Developed by Silicon Knights (the folks who made Too Human), X-Men Destiny is billed as an adventure that emphasizes choice, offering players the chance to side with the X-Men or the Brotherhood of Mutants. Expect more details as Destiny’s September release date draws nearer. In the meantime, check out our most recent preview.

Isn't Paul Ryan gone? Or am I completely off my nut?

Oh man, the development team that did Too Human is working on this? Now I'm sad.

A CANADIAN super-hero (game)? What will they think of next? My reCaptcha has the symbol for pi in it. Sorry, guys!

I sat patiently through the turgid, lengthy development of the risible Too Human, I put up with DD's stupid statements about the game pre release and when it finally dropped I played it through too-I STILL never lost hope , even then. After that I heard SK were doing this and hoped for an amazing X-men game until I heard all the details of the half arsed way you aren't going to either be able to be a proper X-man OR fully tailor your own character either and having SEEN bits of the game I'm even more underwhelmed. Now, I don't know if the hope has died as it's been a LONG time with no titbits of good news to fuel any fresh hope for a sequel that EVERY sane gamer over five wants-ED2. Drop this quickly, get out of the mess and allow us fans to chip in towards making a new Eternal Darkness game, yes, Den?

I swear I'm the only person who enjoyed Too Human (Bar the death scene)

Cripes I forgot silicon was on this, triply cautious now. Too Human was a very depressing experience for me.

Activision throwing a studio onto a relatively random game that probably won't start a "100 million dollar franchise".... I wonder what's gonna happen to Silicon Knights in a few years

I'm willing to keep an open mind and give it a try but Too Human was pretty terrible.
