World of Nintendo

13)Chinese ‘Vii’

Velcome to Vii! This full-on Chinese ripoff of Nintendo’s console looks almost like the real thing, but since it doesn’t appear to have a disc drive, we’ve no idea what it plays. Probably a bunch of built-in NES games or something. Magazine ads in China even look like Nintendo’s Wii ads, with models of all ages enjoying this not-entirely-original gaming experience. We’d get one in to test it but we’re not sure if we’d be arrested for doing so.

14)More cake (plus sculpture)

If you were the lead level designer at a big videogame company like, say, Blizzard, you’d probably want some kind of videogame-inspired wedding when it was your turn to tie the knot. So when Cory Stockton, lead level designer at Blizzard, got married, he went all out with a nifty Mario cake, a Zelda ice sculpture and tables themed around various consoles.
