Woody Allen casts Marion Cotillard

We know less than nothing about Woody Allen’s soon-to-shoot next movie project.

The famously secretive filmmaker is giving nothing away... Except that he’s just cast Marion Cotillard in the film.

The Oscar-winning actress joins Owen Wilson in what is reportedly a romantic drama (yeah, duh) that will be shooting in Paris over the summer.

Gossipy reports have also linked first lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy to the project, but have neither been confirmed nor denied.

So, um, your guess is as bad as ours, really. The film hasn’t even got a title yet.

Says Allen: “I never title a movie until it’s finished because if I look at the film and it’s no good I don’t like to give it an aggressive title. I give it what I call one of my hiding titles – the kind of title that is low-key and promises nothing, so people are less disappointed by it.

“But if I feel the film is good, I give it an aggressive, confident title and then hope for the best.”

Allen’s next film, the London-based You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger is released in September. Starring Antonio Banderas, Josh Brolin, Anthony Hopkins and Naomi Watts, it is rumoured to revolve around a family and their tangled love lives.

Anybody else think this could be Allen's first action-packed, gun-toting epic...?
