Wind Waker HD confirmed for Oct. 4 launch in North America

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD will release on Oct. 4 in North America, the same day as its previously announced European launch. Nintendo confirmed the date in a press release for its ongoing Symphony of the Goddesses concert series.

The Seattle performance on Sept. 12 at Benaroya Hall will host kiosks with playable demos of Wind Waker HD and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. Oh, it will also have symphonic arrangements of themes from Ocarina of Time, Skyward Sword, A Link to the Past, and more, we guess.

Check out our Gamescom preview for our most recent impressions of Wind Waker HD. And if you were thinking about buying a Wii U to play it, you might want to hold off for a little bit.

If I get a Wii U for my birthday, this would be a perfect game to get :)

I'll probably buy as long as they don't charge more than $30-$40 for it. I'm not paying $60 for a game I already own.

It's gonna be $50. A little high, but they are putting in all this work to make this the definitive version of this game. So I'm fine with it.

Great date. I can't wait for this game!

I think I'll wait for the Wind Waker bundle though October 4th is a good launch date. My opinion though.
