Wilde rides in Cowboys & Aliens

Daniel Craig officially joined the cast of Cowboys & Aliens last week after reports that Robert Downey Jr had vacated the project.

We predicted that Craig’s involvement would be a catalyst for the flick to move forward fast. We were right.

Already more casting announcements are upon us, with relatively unknown House actress Olivia Wilde reportedly in talks to join the Wild West action flick. If the name fits...

If she lands the role, Wilde will play Ella, a woman who joins Craig’s gunslinger Zeke in the fight against alien invasion.

Adapted from its comic book form into a shiny Hollywood screenplay by Star Trek writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, alongside Lost writer Damon Lindelof, the film should hit the big screen in 2011.

Wilde will be appearing in the new Tron Legacy later this year, as well as Russell Crowe vehicle The Next Three Days , directed by Paul Haggis.

Think she fits the bill?
