Nintendo announced this morning that it's going to be putting Zelda II-The Adventure of Link on the Wii's Virtual Console channel June 4 to mark the download service's 100th title. The company says that more than 4.7 million games have been downloaded from the Virtual Console since the service was launched in November. That's more than 1,000 games every hour. According to Nintendo, the top five downloads are Super Mario Bros., Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Super Mario World and The Legend of Zelda. With all that Mario action, couldn't they have marked this milestone by releasing Super Mario 3? Of course not.
