When the Nintendo Wii launches in South Korea this April 26th, Zack & Wiki will be sitting pretty on store shelves, too, beckoning adventure gaming fans to pick up a copy to accompany their new consoles. Rather than rely on the critically-acclaimed game's looks to generate sales, Capcom is offering two gifts with each preorder -- a Zack & Wiki-decorated mousepad and a treasure box filled with what looks like candy.

If you have yet to play Capcom's brilliant Wii game Zack and Wiki, then this is something for you. Capcom Europe has released a flash demo of a stage in the game for you try out.
Capcom Producer on Zack & Wiki, Hironobu Takeshita, was interviewed last year about the game. During this interview he was asked if he sees Zack & Wiki become one of Capcom's banner franchises with sequels or if it's a one-time game only. VGB quotes his reply: "I have a lot of confidence in Zack & Wiki, and especially the foreign media [outside of Japan] seem to have a lot of hope and respect for the title. So of course it depends on how it sells, and the sales of the title, but that is something I would like to do, to turn it into a series."
411mania.com reports that Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaro's Treasure has received a price drop and is now priced at $29 at most retailers.
After the Christmas season, it seems we're finally getting into the New Year... well Nintendo are. There are five new releases this week and they are all for the Nintendo Wii, including the previously announced SEGA releases. Here's the full release list:
It looks fantastic, plays great and represents one of the finest third party Wii games of the past year. Yet Zack and Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure has performed abysmally at retail, flying in the face of the opinion that the Wii is best platform for third parties to develop for if they want to make a quick buck.
Toys"R"Us has just gone above and beyond the call of corporate greed. The retailer is offering what is perhaps the worst next-gen console "bundle" in the history of gaming: a Nintendo Wii and 10 games (No 1st Party titles) for $700.

Following feverish whispering, Nintendo has confirmed that Capcom's Wii adventure, Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure, won't be sailing onto European Wiis this year.
This has to be the longest list of games ever for a week of releases. There are many major titles coming out next week, from Zack & Wiki to Jericho to Ratchet and Clank, there is sure to be something for everyone. What are you getting next week?

Capcom Japan has opened a Tokyo Game Show event page, detailing the games that will be on display at its booth when the show kicks off in late September.
The official website for Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaro's Treasure has opened, giving visitors access to videos, screenshots, press comments and more. As of right now, most of the available windows are restricted, so you'll have to wait for a later date to view site features.
Nintendo Europe have officially confirmed the release dates of several big titles in Europe, and confirmed that some won't quite make their way onto the shelves in 2007 as well.
